How to Use Mobile Check Deposit: Save Time with the Empower FCU App
Skip the trip to a branch and deposit checks right from your smartphone, whenever and wherever it's convenient for you.
This simple, secure process takes just minutes to complete and gives you the freedom to bank on your own schedule.

1. Log In and Tap “Deposit Check”
Open the Empower FCU mobile app and log in. On the Accounts homepage, tap the “Deposit Check” icon (a small camera symbol at the bottom of your screen).
- First-time user? You’ll be prompted to review the Deposit Check Disclosure. After reading it, tap “Accept.”
2. Endorse the Check Properly
Flip your check over and make sure:
- All members have signed their names and written "For Empower FCU Mobile Deposit Only" on the back of the check
3. Select Account and Enter Amount
On the Mobile Deposit screen:
- Choose your deposit account from the dropdown menu.
- Tap “Deposit Amount” and enter the dollar amount written on the check.
- Tap “Confirm Amount” to proceed.
4. Take Photos of the Check

Tap “Front of Check” and place your check on a dark, flat background. Center it in the frame. The app will automatically capture the image.
- Then tap “Back of Check” and repeat the process for the endorsed side.
5. Submit Your Deposit
Review all details and check images. If everything looks correct, tap “Submit Deposit.”
Your check is on its way for processing!
